It is now official for Nico Paz. Real Madrid, Como 1907 and the player have reached an agreement for the Argentine attacking midfielder to remain in Italy next season.
Real Madrid will not bring Nico Paz back. The Spanish club confirmed the news in a statement published on Monday. Paz will therefore continue his adventure with Como for the 2026-2027 season, a decision made at the player’s own request. Yet recent rumours had suggested an immediate return to Madrid followed by a resale.
Real Madrid Keep Control of Nico Paz’s Future
However, Real Madrid have not completely closed the door on a future return. The agreement states that the Spanish club will retain a unilateral buy-back option on Nico Paz’s registration rights for the 2027-2028 season.
In other words, Nico Paz will continue his development in Serie A, but Real Madrid will keep control of his future. It is a solution that allows the player to get regular game time while remaining under the supervision of the Merengue club.
