PSG are moving forward in the Yan Diomandé case. The 19-year-old Ivorian forward, under contract with RB Leipzig until 2030, is being tracked by several major European clubs, including Liverpool. But the player reportedly has a clear preference: joining Paris.

PSG appear ready to make a major move in this summer transfer window. According to The Athletic, via David Ornstein, Yan Diomandé wants to sign for PSG. RMC Sport also claims that the Parisian club has already reached an agreement with the player on a five-year contract, running until 2031.

PSG must now negotiate with Leipzig

PSG therefore have the player’s green light, but the hardest part remains: negotiating with RB Leipzig. The German club reportedly wants around €130 million to let its young forward leave, according to several sources including Sky Sport Germany, L’Équipe, RMC Sport, Ben Jacobs, Fabrizio Romano, The Athletic FC and Sky Sport UK.

Talks are said to have already started between the directors of the two clubs. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Oliver Mintzlaff are reportedly in contact to try to move the deal forward. According to Loïc Tanzi, the good relationship between PSG, Leipzig, QSI and Red Bull could help facilitate negotiations.

Paris could offer a deal including bonuses or a staggered payment plan to convince Leipzig. Diomandé’s arrival, like the possible signing of Maghnes Akliouche, could also help make up for the expected departures of Gonçalo Ramos and Lee Kang-in. The deal remains very expensive, but PSG seem well positioned. If Paris manage to reach an agreement with Leipzig, Yan Diomandé could become one of the biggest moves of the Parisian transfer window.
