Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team has pulled off a major signing: Olga Carmona, the former Real Madrid captain, has joined the club on a contract until 2028.
Out of contract with Madrid on June 30, the 24-year-old left-back chose not to extend her stay with the Spanish giants. Instead, she’s making the leap to the French capital in what is considered one of the biggest transfers of the summer, according to Collectif IRP.
A World Champion in Paris
Carmona is a well-rounded fullback — quick, strong in defense, and comfortable pushing forward. She became a global star in 2023, scoring the winning goal in the Women’s World Cup final against England, securing Spain’s first-ever world title.
Despite playing 186 matches and scoring 28 goals for Real Madrid, Carmona leaves without any silverware. Her goal now: make history with PSG and bring trophies to the club.
Her arrival strengthens PSG’s left flank and sends a clear message: the Parisian club is aiming high, both on and off the pitch.
