Despite recent Spanish media reports suggesting Marc-André ter Stegen was demanding full payment of his remaining salary to leave Barcelona, the reality appears quite different: the German goalkeeper has no intention of leaving.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ter Stegen, 33, is refusing to depart, even as Barça prepares to promote Joan Garcia as their new number one and extend Wojciech Szczesny as backup. The club no longer sees the German as part of its future plans, but he remains firm.

Staying and Fighting

Still under contract until 2028, Ter Stegen is reportedly ready to accept competition for his spot. Even after featuring in only eight La Liga games last season, the Barça captain is determined to win back his place.
