PSG. “He’s going soft”: Dugarry calls for Enrique to let Ramos leave

Christophe Dugarry does not hide it: he does not understand how Gonçalo Ramos is being managed. Speaking on RMC, he says Luis Enrique should allow him to leave.

Gonçalo Ramos is going through a long barren spell at PSG. Despite injuries in attack, the Portuguese international still cannot establish himself and is slipping down the pecking order, overtaken not only by direct competitors but also by young Parisian prospects such as Mayulu, Ndjantou, or Mbaye. A situation that leaves Christophe Dugarry perplexed.

Questions over Luis Enrique’s management

On RMC’s Rothen s’enflamme, the former France international pointed the finger at Luis Enrique’s handling of the situation. “It’s always tricky to criticize Luis Enrique given what he’s achieved, but if I put myself in Ramos’s place, it must be extremely tough. He’s an international, a starter with Portugal, and at PSG, despite the injuries, he sees everyone go ahead of him. In the end, he never plays,” he said.

For Dugarry, the conclusion is clear: this situation cannot last. He even goes further by suggesting a departure as early as next summer. “If it’s Luis Enrique’s choice not to play him, then he should let him leave. At one point, Ramos showed he deserved a run, at least three starts and a full match. I feel like Ramos is going soft, and I find that quite deplorable.”
