Itziar Gonzalez, a nutritionist recruited by Florentino Pérez, accuses the Real Madrid medical staff of harassment, professional sabotage, and constant pressure. Prevented from doing her job, humiliated, and falsely accused, she claims she was pushed aside despite having the support of several players. She filed a complaint not for financial reasons, but to defend her reputation after what she describes as an internal smear campaign.
Hired directly at the request of Florentino Pérez, the specialized nutritionist says she lived through what she describes as a nightmare at Real Madrid. In several testimonies, she recounts a professional experience marked by hostility, contempt, and repeated attempts to silence her by the club’s medical staff.
Internal Conflict and Institutional Pressure
She first joined during the 2021–2022 season and explains that, despite the president’s support, she immediately faced strong opposition from the medical department. Only a few players, including Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo, agreed to work with her. According to her, doctors deliberately prevented players from following her nutritional recommendations and made it clear that her work was considered unnecessary.
She claims she was repeatedly ignored, sidelined, and discredited. After that season, the club cut off contact, before bringing her back at the end of 2023 to work with Carvajal and Güler, and later with the entire squad at Florentino Pérez’s request. However, the situation quickly deteriorated again, with humiliating remarks, false accusations of stealing supplements, and an alleged attempt to force her out.
Despite this, players continued to trust her and follow her advice, sometimes outside the training ground. She describes feeling “trapped in a locked system.” In February 2025, the situation reached a breaking point: she was once again falsely accused, removed from the club “for her safety,” banned from the training center, and informed that an internal investigation was underway. Her resignation was refused, leaving her in a state of severe psychological distress. She insists her legal action is not about money, but about restoring her honor after what she considers a campaign of defamation.
