According to reports from PSGINSIDE-ACTUS, the future of young Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier has already become extremely uncertain just a few months after his arrival. And two Ligue 1 clubs are reportedly ready to rescue him from the situation.

Is Lucas Chevalier already being pushed toward the exit at PSG? The case is seriously heating up behind the scenes. Rennes and Monaco are both said to be interested, according to the well-informed source. The two clubs have reportedly made concrete inquiries to try to sign the French goalkeeper this summer. A move that could appeal to Chevalier, especially with the promise of regular playing time to continue his development.

PSG Planning Major Goalkeeper Changes

On the PSG side, a departure is no longer completely ruled out. Paris would reportedly prefer a permanent transfer, or at least a mandatory purchase option, with a price estimated around €25 million despite the difficult situation. PSG could lose no less than €15 million in the deal, but the club may no longer have much choice.

PSG still reportedly trust Matvey Safonov, but the club is also closely monitoring Diogo Costa, the star goalkeeper of FC Porto and the Portuguese national team. Several meetings have allegedly already taken place between Paris, the player’s representatives and the Portuguese club. Most importantly, PSG are said to be ready to trigger the Portuguese keeper’s €60 million release clause.

FC Porto reportedly refuse to negotiate a lower fee for their 26-year-old captain, who remains under contract until 2030. PSG executives even want to finalize the deal quickly before the World Cup, showing the club could be preparing for a major change in the goalkeeper position. But another issue is already emerging at Rennes: what happens to Brice Samba? The French international remains Rennes’ number one goalkeeper, and his future could quickly become a real headache if Chevalier arrives. A huge goalkeeper domino effect may be about to begin, with PSG leading the chaos.
