Arnaud Kalimuendo’s English adventure has been short-lived. Struggling since his arrival last summer, the 23-year-old striker is already leaving Nottingham Forest after six complicated months (14 matches, 2 goals in all competitions) to join Eintracht Frankfurt.
Kalimuendo is looking to get his career back on track. As expected, the former Rennes forward signed with the German club on Wednesday on a loan deal that includes a purchase option estimated at around €30 million.
A loan move to revive his career
Trained at Paris Saint-Germain, Kalimuendo comes in to replace Elye Wahi, who has been loaned to Nice, and is being offered a strong opportunity to reboot his career at a club known for getting the best out of French strikers.
In Frankfurt, the France U21 international hopes to rediscover confidence and efficiency, while the club has already made the move official through its channels.
