Barça Forces a Massive Pay Cut on Lewandowski

FC Barcelona are not completely closing the door on Robert Lewandowski, but only under very strict conditions. According to Sport, the club’s leaders are open to the idea of keeping the Polish striker—provided he agrees to a serious downgrade.

The first requirement is clear: Lewandowski would have to accept a much less central role in the team, with fewer minutes and a lower status in the attacking hierarchy. The days of being the undisputed starter and the number one star up front would be over.

A Drastic Salary Cut and a Reduced Role

The second condition is just as significant: a massive pay cut. Barça want the former Bayern Munich goal scorer to accept a 50% reduction in his salary in order to stay at the club.
