PSG is making more money… but slipping back. Deloitte has released its annual ranking of the world’s richest clubs, the Football Money League, and the verdict is clear: Paris drops off the podium and falls to fourth place.
And yet, the numbers are booming. PSG saw its revenue rise from €806 million to €837 million in the 2024–2025 season, a solid increase driven by an exceptional sporting year. But among the giants, that is no longer enough, as the others are moving even faster.
Europe’s Giants Pull Away
As a result, Paris mainly pays the price for FC Barcelona’s spectacular comeback to second place, while Real Madrid towers over world football and becomes the first club in history to break the one-billion-euro mark with €1.161 billion in revenue. Bayern Munich completes the podium, leaving PSG just behind, narrowly ahead of several English powerhouses.
Another worrying sign: PSG is now the only French club in the ranking, a first since the 2020–2021 season. Marseille and Lyon have vanished from the radar amid the TV rights crisis, a strong symbol of the economic fragility of French football. Paris is improving, but Europe is accelerating even faster.
