As the World Cup approaches, Didier Deschamps could well shake things up. With the French squad list almost finalized and his future still uncertain, the head coach is playing a double game… with a potential surprise still to come.

Behind the scenes, the boss of the France national football team has never ruled out a final gamble. In Europe, opportunities appear more limited, and despite possible movement at clubs like AS Roma, SSC Napoli or Inter Milan, the former France captain does not seem tempted by a new challenge in France, England, Spain or Germany.

One thing is certain: before thinking about what comes next, Deschamps could still deliver a surprise… starting with his final squad selection.
