It’s a major milestone for Inter Miami CF… and Lionel Messi is already buzzing! The Florida franchise is inaugurating the Nu Stadium this Saturday, a brand-new venue that takes the club to a whole new level.
With a capacity of 26,700 seats, this new stadium means business. The clear objective is to compete with the giants of American sports like the NFL or NBA, while significantly boosting matchday revenue—even if it still falls short of Camp Nou’s scale.
A New Era for Inter Miami
Ideally located near downtown and the airport, this architectural gem is part of a massive 53-hectare development. It marks a true turning point for the club, which is now stepping into a completely different league.
And unsurprisingly, Messi fully approves. The captain is thrilled with his new home, a symbol of Inter Miami’s growing ambition. “It will be a very special day for the club because of what it means to have this new stadium, which is truly impressive. In such a short time, building something like this is incredible. It’s a day for everyone at the club, the fans, and ourselves to enjoy,” he told club media, adding his excitement about “the desire to play here.”
The message is clear: Miami wants to compete with the very best… and Messi is ready to light up this new stadium.
