The former FC Barcelona player also explained that he chose to be cautious in order to avoid taking any unnecessary risks before the biggest match of the season. Having dealt with physical problems throughout his career, Dembélé now prefers to react immediately at the slightest warning sign.
“I’ve had so many small scares and major injuries during my career, whether here at PSG or before. With the big matches coming up, especially this final, I preferred to stop and not take any risks,” said the Paris number 10. He also added: “I had a small scare against Paris FC but it’s fine and it will be okay for the final. Being at 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so. I have no doubts about that. I hope to be on the pitch on May 30.”
PSG are now hoping to have Ousmane Dembélé back at his very best as the club looks to win another Champions League title against Arsenal.
