It is a major blow for Brazil and the 2026 World Cup. Already considered highly doubtful for Brazil’s opening match against Morocco, Neymar could now end up missing the entire group stage.

The Brazilian star joined the national team while carrying an injury and has yet to recover fully. According to reports relayed by Teledeporte, Neymar is not expected to be fit in time for Brazil’s tournament opener. Even more concerning, there are growing fears within the squad that his absence could extend through all three group-stage matches.

If confirmed, the absence would be a huge setback for Brazil. Neymar remains one of the symbols of the national team and was hoping to take part in what could be the final World Cup of his career.
