France are entering a new competition within the competition. This Tuesday evening, Les Bleus face Sweden in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup at MetLife Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 11 p.m. After a controlled group stage, the knockout phase now begins.

Deschamps Set to Go Bold in Attack

In this scenario, Désiré Doué would start on the bench. The young France international would keep a joker role, capable of bringing directness, creativity and fresh energy during the match if Les Bleus struggle to make the difference.

The probable lineup announced by the newspaper is taking shape as follows: Maignan in goal, a defense made up of Koundé, Upamecano, Saliba and Digne, a Tchouaméni-Rabiot double pivot, then an attacking line of Dembélé, Olise and Barcola supporting Mbappé. A clear choice: Deschamps wants France to hit hard from the opening whistle.

France’s probable lineup: Maignan – Koundé, Upamecano, Saliba, Digne – Tchouaméni, Rabiot – Dembélé, Olise, Barcola – Mbappé.
