Olympique Lyonnais have secured a new reinforcement in midfield. The Rhône club have officially announced the arrival of Mads Bidstrup from RB Salzburg.

The 25-year-old Danish central midfielder has signed with Lyon until June 2031. It is a long-term deal that confirms Lyon’s desire to strengthen their midfield with a solid, hard-working player who already has European experience.

The Dane did not hide his excitement after signing. “I like defending, taking responsibility and being a leader for the team. I am really looking forward to playing in my new colors,” he said in the club’s statement. After this official announcement, Mads Bidstrup will now have to quickly find his place in the Lyon squad, while OL continue their transfer window with a clear message: the club want to strengthen seriously in order to move forward again.
