Manchester City have set their sights on Jules Koundé, but Barcelona have no intention of letting their reliable defender go. The battle may just be beginning.

According to RMC, City have made inquiries about the French international—alongside another major European club. However, there’s no panic in Catalonia: Koundé is in talks to extend his contract beyond 2027.

Despite some disciplinary issues and a late-season injury, Barça still view him as their top right-back option and are determined to keep him. Negotiations between the two sides are reportedly progressing well.
