Saudi Arabia is back with another jaw-dropping move – this time for Vinicius Jr. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, a Saudi Pro League club is preparing a €350 million bid to lure the Brazilian star away from Real Madrid.
The offer would not only smash all transfer records, but would also include an astronomical salary package worth €1 billion over 5 years – or €200M per season.
A deal of this scale would rewrite the rules of the transfer market. For comparison, Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr and Neymar’s switch to Al-Hilal now pale in comparison.
Vini Jr torn: Loyalty vs opportunity
Publicly, Vinicius Jr has never hidden his love for Real Madrid. He’s considered the face of the club’s future and has the full trust of Florentino Pérez and the board, especially after Kylian Mbappé’s arrival shifted attacking dynamics. However, insiders have long noted that Vinicius has never completely closed the door to the Saudi option – especially with the league’s rise in global power and influence.
Real Madrid under pressure?
The timing of the bid is not innocent. With tensions already simmering around Mbappé’s arrival and Vini Jr’s role being slightly redefined, Saudi Arabia is sensing an opening. Real Madrid will have a decision to make — and fast. Turning down €350M would be historic in itself.
For now, Vinicius Jr is still expected to stay, but as with everything in modern football: no door is truly closed when there’s a billion on the table.
