Real Madrid take strong stance on Vinicius amid Saudi mega offer

As speculation about Vinicius Jr’s future began to swirl in Spain, Real Madrid wasted no time setting the record straight. According to Sport, club president Florentino Pérez has taken charge of the situation and wants to extend the Brazilian winger’s contract until 2030, making him a cornerstone of the new project alongside Kylian Mbappé.

Mundo Deportivo confirms the message: Vinicius is not for sale. A bold statement, especially as a Saudi club prepares an unprecedented €350 million bid, as revealed by journalist Ben Jacobs. Even for Real Madrid, that’s a massive figure.

However, there’s one major sticking point: Vinicius wants a salary on par with Mbappé. But, according to El Debate and Cadena SER, Pérez has refused, citing the player’s inconsistent 2024-25 season. Real Madrid would prefer to wait another year to assess his form before committing to a pay raise — and could consider a sale in 2026 if things don’t progress.

€1 billion over five years?

The Saudi offer is staggering: €1 billion over five years, or €200 million per year — a number never seen before in football. It would make Vinicius the face of the Saudi football revolution.

Vinicius remains loyal to Real Madrid, but the club landscape is shifting. The arrival of Mbappé, the rise of young star Endrick, and the signing of Argentine wonderkid Mastantuono all change the dynamics at the Bernabéu.

A career-defining choice

Caught between loyalty to the club that made him a star and the most lucrative contract in football history, Vinicius has a huge decision to make. Real Madrid are holding firm — but with €1 billion on the table, can anyone truly say no?
