Paris Saint-Germain continues to bolster its squad with the addition of Renato Marin. The 18-year-old goalkeeper, whose contract with AS Roma expires in June, has signed a five-year deal with the Parisian club.
A Fifth Goalkeeper at PSG – But Why?
With Gianluigi Donnarumma, Matvey Safonov, Arnau Tenas, and Lucas Lavallée (set to return from loan this summer), Marin becomes PSG’s fifth-choice goalkeeper.
According to Il Tempo, Roma tried to keep Marin, but negotiations dragged on too long. In the end, the Italian U19 international accepted PSG’s offer, securing a €600,000 annual salary.
While he has yet to make his professional debut, Marin now has a chance to develop at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
