On May 30, 2026, all eyes will turn to the Puskás Aréna, a modern jewel in the heart of Budapest. For the first time in its history, the Hungarian stadium will host the final of the UEFA Champions League, the ultimate stage of club football.

This edition will be unlike any other. Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m., an unusual time for a European final. On the pitch, everything will be decided in 90 minutes—or more. If the score remains level, the battle will continue with two extra periods of 15 minutes. And if suspense still refuses to break, a penalty shootout will determine the outcome, in that unique blend of composure and drama that defines the competition’s legend.

An Earlier Kick-Off with a Star-Studded Opening Show

The winner is expected to be crowned around 9 p.m. But even before kick-off, the spectacle will already be underway inside the arena. The Killers will ignite the stage during the opening show, in partnership with Pepsi. Alongside them, David Beckham will appear in a cinematic sequence, symbolically launching the countdown to the most anticipated match of the year.

Fans will, of course, be hoping to see Paris Saint-Germain on that pitch on May 30, lifting the trophy and securing a back-to-back victory around 9 p.m. And with such an early finish, everyone might even get to celebrate before heading to bed at a reasonable hour.
