While there is genuine respect for the player within the club, both among executives and in the dressing room, it does not translate into concrete interest in the market. The club’s sporting management is reportedly targeting a different profile to strengthen their midfield, one that better aligns with their current strategy.
The situation has indeed changed compared to a few months ago. Xabi Alonso was previously the driving force behind a possible move for Rodri, but the club is now shifting its focus toward younger profiles. As a result, despite the player’s openness, Rodri and Real Madrid are expected to go their separate ways… at least for this summer.
