The suspense is over: Marquinhos has chosen to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for the 2025–2026 season. Despite lucrative offers from the Gulf and increased competition in central defense, the PSG captain is committed to continuing his journey in the French capital.

Now with 491 appearances for the club, the Brazilian defender is set to begin his 13th season at PSG, equaling Jean-Marc Pilorget’s record for the most seasons played at the club.

Another year and then ?

Under contract until 2028, Marquinhos aims to use his experience to retain his place in Luis Enrique’s starting lineup, especially with the expected arrival of Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarnyi.
