Ademola Lookman to PSG? It almost happened—but didn’t. The 27-year-old Atalanta forward, standout performer for both club and Nigeria, was on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar during the 2024 summer transfer window.
According to Atalanta CEO Gianluca Percassi, PSG made a formal offer of €20 million last year. “We received a €20 million offer from PSG for Lookman,” Percassi revealed in a press conference. “We told him: not now—maybe in 2025, and only for a top-level club, not an Italian side. Now the situation [with Inter] is different, but we’ll make the decision.”
No Lookman, Kvaratskhelia Arrived Instead
In the end, PSG turned to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli—a move that paid off. The Georgian winger was instrumental in PSG’s Champions League triumph, especially in the final.
As for Lookman, tensions are rising between him and Atalanta amid growing interest from Inter Milan. Could PSG revive their interest? It’s unlikely at this stage, but with Luis Enrique open to another versatile attacker, it can’t be ruled out.
