Al Hilal: Hamdallah joins as an emergency reinforcement for the Club World Cup — and may only play one game.
At the Club World Cup, anything is possible — even signing a player for a single match. Hit by injuries to key forwards Aleksandar Mitrovic and captain Salem Al Dawsari, Al Hilal has moved quickly to bring in a short-term solution.
The Saudi club has secured the emergency loan of Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah (34) from Al Shabab to bolster its attacking options during the tournament.
One game, maybe three at most
This loan is as short as it gets: it will end as soon as Al Hilal’s campaign in the competition is over. That could mean a single appearance this Friday against Fluminense… or a run through to the final on July 13.
At best, Hamdallah could feature in three matches. A lightning-quick stint — but possibly a decisive one.
