The return to Barcelona was anything but joyful for the Barça squad. With exhausted faces and heavy legs, several senior players reportedly voiced frustration over the poorly managed return trip from South Korea.
According to AS, the players were especially unhappy with the nearly four-hour rainy bus ride after their match against Daegu FC—followed by a 13-hour flight—describing it as “second-rate club” treatment.
Tempers flared upon landing at El Prat airport, with a shocking twist: Marc-André ter Stegen refused to sign his medical report for LaLiga, clashing with the club hierarchy. The gesture left the dressing room stunned—most of whom reportedly support the goalkeeper.
Jet Lag Making Things Worse
On top of internal friction, jet lag is hitting hard. Returning from Asia, the players are struggling to readjust, with lingering fatigue and sleep disruption expected to last for several days.
To ease the impact, Hansi Flick granted the squad a rest day on Wednesday. But come Thursday, they’re back to business with a demanding double session—amid a rising storm behind the scenes.
