Cristiano Ronaldo’s Injury Is More Serious Than Expected!

A brutal setback for Cristiano Ronaldo. At 39, the Portuguese superstar seemed unstoppable in the Saudi league, piling up goals with Al-Nassr FC. With 21 goals in 22 matches, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was continuing his pursuit of the mythical 1,000 career goals milestone, while also keeping his sights firmly set on the next FIFA World Cup with the Portugal national team.

But the situation suddenly changed in recent days. The Portuguese striker had first raised concerns after missing several training sessions in Riyadh. The postponement of some AFC Champions League matches, due to the geopolitical context, had temporarily pushed those worries into the background.

It was his coach, Jorge Jesus, who confirmed the seriousness of the situation. “Cristiano’s injury is more serious than we initially thought,” admitted the Portuguese manager. “He will travel to Spain to receive treatment with a personal therapist. We hope he returns soon,” he added.

While the club is trying to remain reassuring publicly, the injury now raises many questions. Ronaldo’s absence from upcoming matches is already confirmed, and the severity of the injury could jeopardize the rest of his season. Above all, the participation of Portugal’s captain in the next World Cup is now uncertain—a worrying prospect for Portugal, given Cristiano Ronaldo’s immense influence within the national team.
