Another major setback for PSG: Ousmane Dembélé was forced off after just 25 minutes against Bayern. While Luis Enrique insists it’s not a recurrence of his previous hamstring injury, the winger is now dealing with a calf problem… just after returning from a long layoff.
Speaking after the 1–2 defeat to Bayern, Luis Enrique tried to ease concerns about Dembélé’s condition. The PSG coach stressed that the injury has “nothing to do” with the hamstring issue the Ballon d’Or winner suffered with France in September.
The medical staff is awaiting further tests to determine the exact nature of this new setback, believed to be in the calf. Given the player’s history, caution is more than justified.
PSG can only hope the damage is limited
And the timing couldn’t be worse. Only recently back from a six-week absence and still trying to regain rhythm, Dembélé once again sees his progress abruptly halted. For Luis Enrique, already dealing with a long list of injuries, this latest blow further complicates squad management. PSG can only hope the damage is limited, but frustration is mounting fast.
