Dembélé, Marquinhos… PSG announces 2 bad news

No red alert for Ousmane Dembélé. Luis Enrique wanted to calm the situation and reassure about the management of his winger, who was absent in Bilbao and is still being rested. The directive is clear: maximum caution, zero risk-taking.

No risks are being taken with Dembélé, Luis Enrique is being cautious. The Parisian forward is not expected to be present this weekend against Metz. “It’s a shame for him and for the team. We haven’t been able to see Ousmane in his normal condition for the past four months. He has been ill in recent days and has resumed training individually. He needs to start his recovery. We must be careful,” explained the Parisian coach, fully assuming his responsibility in managing the situation.

The PSG medical update aligns with this. Dembélé has resumed individual training, without rushing. There is no forced return on the horizon, with the goal being to recover him to 100% for the remainder of the season.

Marquinhos receiving treatment

On the other hand, Marquinhos is more concerning. He left the match in Bilbao and the Parisian captain “is receiving treatment due to muscle fatigue in his right hip” and is heading towards missing the match against Metz. Another absence that Luis Enrique will have to manage.

The Spanish coach is already looking further ahead. “I hope that after Christmas, with time, we will be able to recover the players and the team to face the most important part of the season,” he shared.

Clear message: Dembélé will be managed carefully, protected, and reintegrated at the right moment. In Paris, there is no question of jeopardizing a key asset.
