France national team: Deschamps keeps uncertainty over his future. The head coach still does not know what he will do after 14 years in charge of Les Bleus.
Didier Deschamps spoke about the next steps in his career without closing any doors… except one. This weekend, he addressed his future with honesty, admitting he has not yet made a final decision while suggesting that several options remain open to him.
Deschamps rules out institutional role after France tenure
“A club coach or manager of another national team? I don’t know, I haven’t decided anything. I have the freedom, I have several possibilities,” he said. Deschamps previously managed clubs such as Marseille, Monaco, and Juventus.
However, one path is already ruled out for the current France boss: an institutional role. “President of the FFF? No.” A clear answer, meaning he will not become the superior of Zinedine Zidane, who is expected to replace him on the French bench. Meanwhile, Philippe Diallo remains elected until 2028.
The future therefore remains uncertain for Didier Deschamps, who still holds all the cards as he considers the next chapter of his career.
