Not even a delay of more than two hours could slow down the French national team. Shortly after returning from the locker room against Iraq, Les Bleus doubled their lead with a moment that was as bizarre as it was spectacular.
Following a simple throw-in, Iraqi defender Zaid Tasheen and goalkeeper Ahmed Basil completely miscommunicated. Taking full advantage of the costly mistake, Ousmane Dembélé intercepted the ball before setting up Kylian Mbappé with a perfect pass.

The French striker only had to tap the ball into an empty net to score his second goal of the evening and make it 2-0 in the 54th minute.
It was a true gift from the Iraqi defense, sparking smiles on the French bench. Mbappé showed no mercy as he converted the chance, with the comical goal quickly becoming a talking point across social media.
Kylian Mbappé’s second goal came courtesy of an astonishing mistake by the Iraqi defense, allowing the France captain to complete his brace and put Les Bleus firmly in control of the match.
