During a charity event held Sunday at the Olympia by the association Premiers de Cordée, Wilfrid Mbappé stunned the audience by stepping on stage to perform Barry White’s classic “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything.”
Yes, while his sons sprint past defenders, dad switches effortlessly into full crooner mode.
With one hand on a crutch and the other wrapped around the microphone, Wilfrid Mbappé looked completely at ease, playing the smooth gentleman as he performed alongside musicians, dancers, and sports figures such as Arsène Wenger, Thierry Omeyer, and Souleymane Cissokho.
Who knew the Mbappé family packed this much talent? Apparently: speed, goals… and soul music.
Barry White in the family DNA?
Kylian, who couldn’t be there in person, still showed up on the giant screen with a recorded message. As the association’s godfather, he made sure to support the initiative from afar. Founded in 1999, Premiers de Cordée works to make sports accessible for hospitalized children and young people with disabilities.
In short: while Kylian scores on the pitch, Wilfrid scores on stage. Barry White in the family DNA? Hard to say — but we’re not ruling it out.
