There will be no PSG supporters in Kuwait for the Champions Trophy. As on the OM side, it failed to draw Parisian crowds.
The Champions Trophy between PSG and OM will be played in a very particular atmosphere. Like the Marseille ultras, who chose to boycott the trip to Kuwait, Paris Saint-Germain supporters will not make the journey this Thursday (7 p.m.) to accompany their team either.
An All-Inclusive Package That Failed to Sell
The club from the capital had nevertheless set up an “all-inclusive” offer at 800 euros, including round-trip flights, local transfers, and match tickets. But according to Le Parisien, PSG was forced to cancel this package because the minimum number of sign-ups was not reached, a price clearly deemed too high by many supporters.
As a result, the match will be played without the ultras from either side at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, which can hold up to 60,000 spectators. For now, the Professional Football League refuses to comment on the expected attendance, but the atmosphere is likely to be well below what one would hope for for a Classique and an official trophy.
