Paris Saint-Germain will not contest its conviction. On December 16, 2025, the Paris labor court ordered the club to pay nearly €61 million to Kylian Mbappé in unpaid wages, bonuses, and holiday pay linked to the end of his contract in 2024. The club has decided not to appeal, bringing the legal saga to a close.
In an official statement, Paris described the decision as one made “out of responsibility” in order to end a procedure that had dragged on for two and a half years. The full amount has now been paid, including €5.9 million transferred recently following intervention by a bailiff.

However, not all of the French international’s claims were upheld. The judges rejected several major requests, notably the reclassification of his fixed-term contracts into a permanent contract, which could have led to far heavier compensation estimated at €263 million. Allegations of moral harassment and concealed work were also dismissed.
Born out of his refusal to extend his contract during the 2023–2024 season, the dispute had overshadowed the final chapter of the club’s all-time top scorer, who joined in 2017. While the labor court case is now closed, another matter remains pending regarding a decision by the LFP ordering PSG to pay an additional €55 million. One thing is certain: Paris wants to turn the page for good.
