The future stadium of Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as one of the major issues in the Paris municipal campaign. While the current mayor has consistently refused to sell the Parc des Princes to the club, several candidates are taking a more open stance to prevent PSG from moving to the suburbs. After Emmanuel Grégoire, Rachida Dati has now clarified her own position and set a clear framework.
Rachida Dati confirms that she will sell the Parc des Princes to PSG if she becomes mayor of Paris, but not without conditions. The LR candidate says the situation could change quickly in the event of a political shift at City Hall. She states she is ready to negotiate the transfer of the stadium to PSG if elected, while strictly tying the sale to a broader public-interest project.

Her strategy is to secure the club’s presence in the capital while developing a structured sports hub around the site. “I will keep PSG in Paris and create a major modern sports city project to promote Parisian sport worldwide,” she explains. For Rachida Dati, this is not just a real estate transaction but a comprehensive plan combining facilities, usage, and local benefits.
She clearly makes the sale conditional on concrete commitments: “I will negotiate the sale of the Parc des Princes to PSG in exchange for the creation of a ‘Parc PSG’ sports and cultural village around the stadium, in partnership with local sports associations, so the club stays in Paris and Parisians benefit.” The approach aims to connect the club’s long-term presence with neighborhood development and access for community organizations.
