At PSG, the nightmare season for Chevalier continues. The Parisian backup goalkeeper has been injured despite not featuring on the pitch.
Misfortune keeps piling up for Lucas Chevalier. Sidelined since January in favor of Matvey Safonov, the French goalkeeper is going through a particularly difficult period… and it’s not getting any better.
A New Setback in an Already Difficult Season
PSG has confirmed that the goalkeeper suffered an injury during training this morning. Diagnosed with a right thigh lesion, he will remain under medical care for several weeks, further extending his challenging spell.
Already having lost his starting position in recent months, Chevalier sees his season darken even more with this new physical setback. The injury comes at the worst possible time, just as he was hoping to regain playing time.
It has truly become a nightmare season for the French goalkeeper, who continues to struggle without managing to turn things around. The World Cup is slipping further out of reach, while Hugo Lloris’ name is increasingly being mentioned as a potential third-choice goalkeeper this summer.
