PSG Made Ethan Cry, Says Mbappé Camp: Heavy Accusations in Court

During Monday’s hearing before the French labor court in the dispute between Kylian Mbappé and PSG, one of the striker’s lawyers, Me Cassereau, claimed that young Ethan Mbappé also suffered consequences from the open war between his brother and the Parisian club.

A club that breaks players who want to leave? That’s partly the theory developed by Kylian Mbappé’s legal team. And to illustrate it, Mbappé’s lawyer pointed directly at… Ethan Mbappé.

She denounced what she described as harassment against Kylian, requesting more than €260 million in damages. According to her, Ethan was even found crying in the locker room by his brother, after being subjected to humiliating treatment while beginning his professional career.

“He (Ethan Mbappé) was found in tears in the locker room by Kylian,” said Me Cassereau.

The lawyer also reminded the court of an alleged “digital army” orchestrated against Kylian Mbappé to turn him into a public enemy among fans, as previously reported by Mediapart.

PSG, for its part, strongly denies the accusations and denounces what it calls a communication campaign led by the Mbappé camp.

“The club wishes to remind that it did everything possible, for over a year, to reach an amicable solution allowing all parties to move forward, in line with the cooperation and trust that should exist between a club and its player,” PSG wrote. “Several institutions involved in this dispute encouraged an amicable settlement, which the club always sought in good faith. Despite these repeated efforts, Mr. Mbappé continuously attacked the club at every opportunity, including through today’s legal action — a regrettable situation both for the player and for French football as a whole.”

A new episode showing how far the conflict between Mbappé and PSG has gone — well beyond football.
