After taking down Fluminense (2-0) and Palmeiras (2-1), Chelsea have knocked out two Brazilian sides and booked their ticket to the Club World Cup final.
They’ll now face either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid — but Blues manager Enzo Maresca isn’t losing sleep over who their opponent will be.
No Preference, Just Focus
“What did I like about our match? Honestly, everything,” Maresca told DAZN. “We’re getting close to the end of a fantastic season. We finished in the Premier League Top 4, won the Conference League, and now we’re in the Club World Cup final.”
Asked if he’d rather play PSG or Real Madrid, Maresca stayed clear: “It doesn’t matter. They’re both world-class sides — one won the Champions League this season, the other won it the year before. We’re just happy to be here.”
Chelsea will find out their opponent after Wednesday’s blockbuster PSG–Real Madrid semi-final at the MetLife Stadium.
