FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are once again locked in a fierce battle to secure one of the most promising talents in world football.
Barça – PSG: a heated duel for a 16-year-old prodigy. Barcelona seemed to have the upper hand, but Paris has reshuffled the deck. According to Sport, both clubs are now neck and neck in the race for Aboubacar Maiga, a highly sought-after 16-year-old Malian talent. The Catalans had moved ahead after a successful trial, but PSG has since stepped in decisively.
A New Clash Between Two European Giants
The Parisian club reportedly invited the player to the Olympia Future Cup with a clear objective: to win him over quickly and secure his future as soon as he comes of age.
This case could reignite tensions between PSG and Barça, already strained this winter following the transfer of Dro Fernandez to Paris. At the time, president Joan Laporta had described the move as a “betrayal.”
And the rivalry doesn’t stop there: Barcelona is also closely monitoring Emmanuel Mbemba, a promising young defender from PSG. Two giants, one shared development strategy… but for now, PSG appears to have the edge thanks to its financial power and growing appeal.
