Pressure is mounting on Eduardo Camavinga. Following Real Madrid’s defeat to Mallorca (1-2), the French midfielder was indirectly singled out by his coach Alvaro Arbeloa.
Things are getting even more complicated for Camavinga. The player showed a lack of awareness in a key moment that led to a goal and cost Real Madrid a draw.
Growing Criticism and Uncertain Future
Without naming him directly, Arbeloa criticized his defensive involvement on the opening goal: “You lose your marking, you don’t track him, and you pay the price.” A sequence that reflects the recurring criticisms aimed at the player this season.
Since joining in 2021, Camavinga has yet to reach the expected level. Between injuries and inconsistency, the French international is struggling to establish himself in Madrid’s midfield. Internally, patience is reportedly starting to wear thin.
According to several sources, Real Madrid is now considering a departure in the next transfer window if a suitable offer, estimated around €50 million, arrives. Paris Saint-Germain is among the clubs interested, along with Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, Manchester United and Arsenal FC.
With the return of Jude Bellingham and the rise of young Thiago Pitarch, competition is intensifying. Camavinga now has a lot at stake in the final stretch of the season, but it increasingly feels like the end is near.
