Tensions boiled over at the end of the Club World Cup final between PSG and Chelsea (0-3). As the Blues celebrated their title, a scuffle broke out on the pitch involving Donnarumma and several PSG players.
At the heart of the chaos, Luis Enrique was caught on camera lightly slapping João Pedro, who then dropped to the ground. A gesture that could carry serious consequences.
According to Carrusel Deportivo, citing referee expert Iturralde González, FIFA may hand out a suspension to the Spanish manager: “Cards expire at the end of the tournament, but FIFA can still issue sanctions. He could be suspended for several weeks, even banned from the bench. You cannot touch an opponent’s face.”
A small slap, but one that could cost Luis Enrique dearly, despite PSG celebrating what was otherwise a historic season.
