After several days of controversy surrounding his altercation with Federico Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni has finally spoken publicly.

In a lengthy message posted on Instagram, the Real Madrid midfielder acknowledged the seriousness of the events that took place during training this week. “What happened this week in training is unacceptable,” wrote the French international, who stressed the importance of professional players setting the right example for younger generations. Tchouaméni also stated that conflicts should always be resolved “in the calmest way possible.”
