Crowned Premier League champions in May, Liverpool isn’t resting on its laurels. After high-profile signings like Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike and Giorgi Mamardashvili, the Reds are now turning to offloading players.
Luis Diaz was sold for a hefty fee to Bayern Munich, but that won’t be the last exit at Anfield. According to the Liverpool Echo, at least six more players are expected to leave before the end of the summer window.
Darwin Nuñez leads the exit list
Darwin Nuñez is officially on the market. Courted by Al-Hilal and Juventus, Liverpool won’t let him go for less than €58 million (£49.5m). Federico Chiesa is also up for sale, with Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina monitoring closely. The Reds want to recoup the €12 million (£10.2m) they spent.
Ben Doak, who impressed on loan at Middlesbrough, is valued at €28 million (£24m). Harvey Elliott is on West Ham’s radar, while Tyler Morton is in talks with Lyon. Lastly, either Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas could be sacrificed, as Liverpool look to balance depth and wages.
One month left in the transfer window — and it promises to be fiery on Merseyside.
