No casting, no rush. Manchester United is taking its time and has not contacted any external manager to replace Michael Carrick… who is gaining momentum.

Carrick is impressing internally and reshaping the club’s plans. Appointed in January, he has delivered solid results: 7 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss in 10 matches. Performances that have lifted Manchester United onto the Premier League podium and into a strong position for the UEFA Champions League.

Under contract until this summer, Carrick will not be officially confirmed before the end of the campaign. However, internally, his candidacy is gaining increasing support. Several names have been mentioned, including Gareth Southgate, Roberto De Zerbi, and Thomas Frank, but none currently appear to be serious contenders.

In a limited market and with positive momentum, Carrick now seems like the most logical choice. The only question remains whether he can sustain this form over time… before a possible permanent appointment.
