A chapter is closing for Aaron Ramsey. Without a club since the end of his stint with the Pumas in Mexico last October, the Welsh midfielder officially announced this Tuesday that he is retiring at the age of 35.

Aaron Ramsey has decided to end his career. In a message shared on his social media, he admitted the decision “was not easy,” but that he ultimately chose, “after careful consideration,” to bring his professional journey to a close.

A career defined by consistency and influence

Over the years, Ramsey established himself as a key player, particularly during his long spell at Arsenal. Between 2008 and 2019, he made 369 appearances for the Gunners, becoming one of the pillars of the London club thanks to his vision and goal-scoring ability.

After his time in England, the Welshman took on a new challenge at Juventus, where he featured in 70 matches. His career then continued with shorter stints at Rangers and Nice, making 34 appearances for the French side.

On the international stage, Ramsey also left a lasting mark with Wales. With 86 caps and 21 goals, he played a crucial role in the national team’s strong performances in recent years. At 35, the former Gunner now bows out, bringing to an end a solid career defined by consistency and influence in midfield.
