Leonardo Balerdi is far from done making headlines at Olympique de Marseille. Despite an inconsistent 2025-2026 season in southern France, the Argentine defender still enjoys a strong reputation across Europe ahead of the summer transfer window.

Under contract with OM until 2028, Balerdi could quickly become one of Marseille’s biggest transfer sagas of the summer. The big question now is whether Pablo Longoria will agree to sell one of his key defenders or fight to keep him despite the growing interest from clubs across Europe.
