Arsenal continue to reshape both their squad and coaching staff. After bringing in Kepa Arrizabalaga and with Martin Zubimendi expected to arrive soon, the Gunners have now added a familiar face to Mikel Arteta’s bench: Gabriel Heinze.
According to AS, the 47-year-old Argentine has agreed to join Arsenal’s coaching staff, marking his first experience in a European backroom role. Heinze previously coached in Argentina (Vélez, Newell’s) and in MLS with Atlanta United.
From PSG to OM… and now Arsenal
A natural move in many ways—Arteta and Heinze played together at PSG in the early 2000s. Arteta later joined Arsenal, while Heinze made the switch to PSG’s French rivals, Marseille.
With Heinze’s arrival, Arsenal further underlines its ambition to climb back to the top of English and European football.
