Italian media are confident: Jürgen Klopp has reportedly given the green light to become AS Roma’s next manager.
According to La Stampa, the agreement was finalized on May 18, just hours after Roma’s 3–1 victory over AC Milan. If confirmed, this would mark Klopp’s return to the touchline following his departure from Liverpool.
A Project That Convinced Klopp
Drawn to the ambitious plans of Roma’s owners, the Friedkin Group, Klopp has reportedly approved a rebuilding strategy. The 57-year-old coach has requested six new signings, including three expected starters, and wants to integrate academy players into the preseason squad.
End of the Red Bull Chapter?
Since January, Klopp had taken on a strategic role within the Red Bull football group. However, insiders suggest he missed the dugout, and Roma now offers him a chance to lead a historic, passionate club in need of fresh direction.
If made official, the move would be a huge coup for AS Roma and an exciting new chapter for the Giallorossi faithful—though a serious blow to the Paris FC project, which had been linked with Klopp in a leadership capacity.
Rome might just be preparing to roar… in German.
