At Manchester City, the post-Guardiola era is already taking shape. According to the Daily Mirror, Pep Guardiola, under contract until 2027, is not expected to extend.
The end of a legendary cycle is approaching, and his future looks more like retirement than another renewal. And one name is emerging as the overwhelming favourite: Vincent Kompany.
A true Skyblues legend and now manager of Bayern Munich, Kompany ticks every box. He knows the club inside out, has a deep bond with the city, commands respect in any dressing room and has already shown real quality on the European stage as a coach.
Kompany, the new Pep?
Bacary Sagna doesn’t hesitate: “Kompany would be the ideal man to succeed Guardiola.”
At City, the succession plan is already moving… and the future could very well belong to a familiar face.
