Manchester United are wasting no time rebuilding after a dismal campaign — and they’ve started with firepower. According to the English press, the Red Devils have wrapped up deals for Matheus Cunha (Wolves) and Liam Delap (Ipswich Town), with a combined fee of £94 million (€110M).
Matheus Cunha, the top priority
Cunha, who netted 15 goals this season for Wolves, is said to have given his approval to United’s project. The club is ready to trigger his release clause, estimated at £64 million (€74.5M), to bring him to Old Trafford.
Liam Delap, the surprise bet
At just 22, Delap showed promise at Ipswich despite the team’s relegation. A product of Manchester City’s academy, he could be set for a controversial switch to United for £30 million (€35M). Talks are reportedly advanced, according to The Athletic.
With Rasmus Højlund, potential arrival Joshua Zirkzee, and now Cunha and Delap in the mix, United are clearly aiming for a more prolific attack next season. After a nightmare campaign, the pressure is on to deliver — and the transfer window is only just heating up.
